Q2 2026
Aurora Village is a large-scale living environment in Luleå supporting SSAB’s transition to fossil-free steel. Developed by Adapteo and operated by Strawberry Living under the Lynra brand.
From industrial growth to housing demand
Large-scale industrial projects place immediate pressure on local housing markets. In Luleå, SSAB’s green transition created a need for reliable, high-quality accommodation for a large workforce over an extended period. Aurora Village was initiated to meet this demand with a solution designed specifically for long-term project living rather than temporary stopgaps.

Homes built for flexibility, safety and daily life
Together with Adapteo, the project was shaped around modular, sustainable homes that can be adapted, reused, and relocated as needs change. Beyond housing units, the design includes shared services and social spaces that support routine, recovery, and community. The goal was to create a place that feels structured and calm, even at large scale.

A fully managed, service-driven model
Strawberry Living is responsible for the full operational lifecycle of Aurora Village. This includes accommodation services, safety frameworks, access control, amenities, and ongoing daily management. By centralising responsibility, the operation ensures predictability, clarity, and consistent quality across all touchpoints for residents and partners.

Supporting people and regional development
Aurora Village is developed in phases and scaled in line with real demand. The project contributes not only housing, but stability for workers and momentum for regional growth. By combining flexible infrastructure with a human-centred operating model, Aurora Village sets a new benchmark for how large project accommodations can support both people and place over time.
